James Appleby was born in 1993 in Manchester. His poetry is published in The London Magazine and The Best American Poetry blog; his translations are published in The Kenyon Review; his writing has been featured at festivals and individual events across Europe.

 

James' debut pamphlet, Spurious Language, was published in 2025 by Blue Diode and highly commended in the International Book & Pamphlet Competition.
